You can choose between metric and imperial units (mm or inches), switch to measuring mode where you tap the screen or use the trackball to measure an object within the confines of a circle or square. You may also manually enter the desired length and then verify an item''s size.
This Ruler application is configured for the T-Mobile G1 and may need to be recalibrated for other Android devices, which is easily achieved through the Recalibrate feature. You can also use the backlit feature to get a bright white background that can be seen through a sheet of paper.
